Role description:
As part of our commitment to leveraging data and AI to drive business value, we are seeking a curious and motivated Data Scientist to join our team.
In this key role, you will transform data into actionable insights, develop machine learning models, and help build the foundation for AI-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to solve complex challenges and support Testo's data transformation journey.
Data Science & Modelling:
- Collect, explore, and analyze data from various business domains to uncover meaningful patterns and trends.
- Build, validate, and iterate on statistical and machine learning models that address real business questions.
- Apply techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting to a variety of use cases.
- Translate model outputs into clear, actionable insights, making the complex understandable.
Business Collaboration & Insight Delivery:
- Work closely with teams across finance, operations, sales, and supply chain to understand their data needs and business context.
- Act as a translator between data and business: listen to the business problem, find the right analytical approach, and present findings that stakeholders can act on.
- Build dashboards and reports that make insights accessible and self-serviceable for non-technical users.
AI Enablement:

Your profile:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Informatics, or a related field.
Must-Have Experience:
- 2-5 years of professional experience in Data Science or a related analytical field.
- Strong hands-on experience with machine learning and statistical modelling.
- Proven experience collecting, cleaning, exploring, and analyzing complex business datasets.

Experience presenting analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders and translating data into business value.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience with cloud data platforms or modern data stacks
- Exposure to AI/GenAI use cases or LLM-based applications in a business context.
- Experience in an SAP environment (SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar) can be learned on the job.
Languages: Very good command of written and spoken English.
