Global Business Unit Director (m/f/d) – Thermography & Infrared Technology

Your tasks
The Business Unit Thermography at Testo has a clear direction – and is set to grow profitably. You will take full entrepreneurial responsibility for making that happen: with your own team, budget and product pipeline.
This is how you shape the global thermography strategy at Testo
- Business Unit Ownership: Working closely with senior management, you will develop the global strategy for the thermography segment – target markets, positioning and product pipeline – and bear full responsibility for the Business Unit's revenue and profit performance. Drawing on market, competitive and customer data, you will represent this strategy to sales leadership, product management and internal stakeholders.
- International Team Leadership: You will lead your interdisciplinary team of sales, marketing and product management professionals directly – with clear objectives and full accountability for budget and results.
- Product Pipeline: Together with product management, you will own the thermography portfolio roadmap – determining which products are introduced in which markets and when – and ensure that market requirements are consistently reflected in product decisions.
- Market Positioning: The global go-to-market strategy for thermography is established. Your role is to execute it with rigour, identify growth opportunities in existing and new markets, and respond strategically to shifts in market or competitive conditions by adjusting priorities where necessary.
- Strategic Prioritisation: You will analyse market, competitive and trend intelligence for the thermography segment, derive clear recommendations for action and bring them into product, sales and strategy decisions – internally with your team and cross-functionally with product management and senior management.
- Stakeholder Management: You will report transparently to senior management, steer performance through KPIs, OKRs and SEQs, and provide well-founded decision-making frameworks – clearly structured and at C-level standard.

Your profile
- Professional Background: You come from a technology-driven B2B environment – such as thermography, infrared technology, measurement technology, sensor technology, heating and air conditioning, building technology, electrical engineering, predictive maintenance, industrial imaging or a related field.
- Entrepreneurial Responsibility: You have demonstrably led a Business Unit, product division or comparable entity with full revenue and budget responsibility in an international B2B environment – with measurable results to show for it.
- International Leadership Experience: You have led interdisciplinary teams in an international setting – with KPI-based management and a proven ability to align country organisations and external partners to shared outcomes without direct authority. You are persuasive, resilient and diplomatically skilled.
- Strategic Acumen: You derive clear strategic priorities from market, competitive and customer data, make data-driven decisions on markets and product releases, and consistently translate strategic planning into operational execution.
- Channel Expertise: You have worked with both distributors and digital sales channels. Experience in direct sales is an advantage.
- Willingness to Travel: You are prepared to travel internationally several times a year – to subsidiary companies, sales partners and strategic meetings worldwide.
- Languages: Fluent English, both written and spoken. German language skills are an advantage for day-to-day collaboration at our headquarters in Titisee-Neustadt.
