Product Reliability & Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable products, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Product Reliability & Test Engineer to join our brand-new team in Albergaria-a-Velha, Portugal.

In this key role, you will manage and execute reliability and validation testing activities during product development, ensuring that both hardware and software meet the highest standards of performance, robustness and durability.

What can you expect?

• Requirements Analysis: Review requirements and specification documents to define acceptance criteria, derive relevant test scenarios and create corresponding test cases.
• Test Management: Plan and manage environmental simulation testing to assess climatic, mechanical, and corrosive influences on products.
• Test Execution: Create test specifications and perform hardware and software tests throughout the development cycle.
• Reliability Assurance in Lifecycle: Ensure effective reliability and quality maintenance and improvement during product changes across the lifecycle.
• Goal Achievement: Deliver on product reliability and quality objectives in line with schedule and compliance requirements.
• Process Improvement: Introduce new and improved methods for error prevention in product development.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Development, Purchasing, and Production teams to align quality efforts.

Your profile

• Educational Requirements: Degree or technical training in Engineering or a comparable field.
• Work Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally within product development in a manufacturing environment. Expertise in testing hardware and embedded software. Solid knowledge of reliability and testing methods and tools.
• Tech Skills: Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Language Skills: Very good command of written and spoken English.
