Series Quality Senior Expert (m/f/d)

Your tasks

As a Series Quality Senior Expert, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and continuously improving product quality during series production. Your responsibilities will span from hands-on problem solving and data-driven analysis to cross-functional collaboration and employee training—all aimed at ensuring high-quality outcomes and operational excellence.

• Quality compliance in serial production: Ensure ongoing adherence to quality standards throughout series production by conducting systematic inspections and coordinating with relevant departments to maintain process integrity.
• Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, recurring defects, or risks—implementing targeted improvements to enhance product quality and process stability.
• Cross-Functional problem solving: Lead root cause analysis and coordinate international teams of specialists to resolve complex technical, organizational, and functional quality issues, ensuring timely and sustainable corrective actions.
• Quality Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze key quality indicators (e.g., defect rates, scrap levels, customer complaints) to detect trends, uncover root causes, and support strategic decision-making through clear and actionable reporting.
• Quality documentation & standardization: Document quality processes, inspection results, and corrective actions in a structured manner. Ensure up-to-date records and establish effective reporting routines aligned with compliance and audit requirements.
• Employee training & Quality Advocacy: Support and coach production staff on quality-related topics, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and adherence to quality best practices.
• Internal standards management: Regularly review and refine internal quality standards, ensuring alignment with industry benchmarks, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Your profile

• Educational Requirements: Successfully completed technical studies or technical training in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.
• Work Experience: More than 8 years of professional experience in a similar position or role. Sound knowledge of FMEA, PPF, 8D, and statistical quality methods (AQL, analyses). Experience in disciplinary leadership of employees is desirable.
• Technical Skills: Confident handling of MS Office; SAP knowledge is desirable.
• Language Skills: Good written and spoken Portuguese and English skills.
• Personal Attributes: Passion for quality, a high degree of curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Enjoy cross-departmental and international cooperation. Assertive personality with a strong focus on results and good analytical skills.
