Building Technician (m/f/d)

Role description:
As part of our expansion, we are launching a new production site in Albergaria-a-Velha, Portugal, in the summer of 2025. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Building Technician to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our facility, ensuring that all building systems and equipment operate efficiently and safely. You will conduct regular inspections, identify and resolve technical issues, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance services, and support the implementation of facility improvements.
The ideal candidate has experience in maintaining industrial or office buildings, possesses solid knowledge of heating, ventilation, plumbing, air conditioning and electrical systems, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
What can you expect?
- Monitoring and coordination of installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Communication and cooperation with external service providers and companies
- Planning and organizing regular inspections and maintenance work
- Support in the preparation of technical documentation and reports
- Support with general facility management tasks indoors and outdoors
- Participation in training and further education
- Support with budget planning and monitoring
- Collaboration with the Facility Management Team
- Close coordination with technical service and maintenance
- Communication with external service providers and suppliers
- Decision-making authority in the selection of service providers and suppliers
- Responsibility for compliance with safety and quality standards
- Budget responsibility within the framework of the assigned projects

Your profile:
- Completed training in a technical professional course such as: HVAC, Electrical, or a comparable qualification
- 5-8 years of experience in similar roles
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Independent and structured way of working
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate
- Sound knowledge of control and regulation technology
- Experience in dealing with technical documentation and reports
- Basic knowledge of general building systems or facility management areas
- Manual dexterity and technical understanding
- High customer and service orientation
- Solutions and results-oriented
- Experience in working with external service providers and companies
- Knowledge of budget planning and monitoring
- Fluent in Portuguese and good knowledge of English
