Plant Director (m/f/d)

Role description:
We are planning to launch a new development site in the municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha, approximately 70 kilometers south of Porto, Portugal's second-largest city, in the summer of 2025. To lead this plant, we are seeking an experienced Plant Manager (m/f/d) who will be available six months prior to the start of operations and will undergo partial training at our headquarters in Germany.
Your Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the setup and management of the development, supply chain management (procurement, production, and logistics), quality, HR, finance, and IT departments
- Integration of product lines from China and Germany into the new plant in Portugal
- Ensuring efficient and high-quality production processes
- Leading the strategically important development department in Portugal
- Responsibility for shared services that provide global services for the group
- Close collaboration with the international management team to achieve plant and corporate goals

Your profile:
- Completed degree in engineering
- Several years of experience in international plant management and leading product development teams
- Profound knowledge in supply chain management, production optimization, and lean management
- Experience in working with German companies is an advantage
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Portuguese and/or German is a plus
- Strong leadership qualities, communication skills, and assertiveness
- Ability to work in a dynamic and international environment
